With the former, I have the opportunity to enjoy many of my favorite NES and SNES classics without having to whip out the old consoles and blow into the dusty cartridges. (Yes, I know now that you shouldn’t blow into cartridges, but I don’t think anyone knew any better at the time.) If you’re in the market for a Wii Classic Controller alternative, your wishes are now being granted.
Although it was announced quite some time ago, the Nyko Wing Controller for the Wii is finally shipping to retailers, just in time for the holiday shopping season. I can see how the Wing would be great for playing old school Street Fighter II and other Virtual Console titles. The main advantage that the Wing has over the Classic Controller is that the latter has to be physically connected (via a wire) to a Wii Remote. The Wing, on the other hand, is completely wireless. Sweet.
