Windows Phone 7 hasn’t quite been the huge hit that Microsoft had hoped, but they’re continuing down this road with the upcoming Windows Phone 8. And now we know that they’ll be hosting a special press event in partnership with Nokia to reveal their new WP8 devices. The event is being scheduled for September 5th at 9:30am in New York City.
Aside from that, not much in terms of details is being confirmed. It’s pretty safe to say that the new Windows Phone 8 device will fall under the Nokia Lumia umbrella in some way and it’ll likely boast a display in the 4.3-inch range, give or take. Nokia has always made great hardware, but the company has certainly struggled in recent years. Will Windows Phone 8 make them relevant again? Or will they once again get slaughtered by the mighty beasts in Cupertino and Mountain View? What would be the killer feature to make you switch to the Windows Phone side?
