It’s LEGO. It’s Star Wars. It’s something I actually have a practical application for. And it’s incredibly affordable. So why do I not already own one of these? Just waiting for payday. Seriously…I laughed right out loud, and then realized how very much fun I could have with this at work. Part of my job is to work as a dresser for various shows that come through town, so I always have to have a small flashlight with me. Usually, I have one I can hold in my mouth, that lights up when bitten. A headlamp, however, would be infinitely more practical. I just haven’t bought one because for the most part they are incredibly unattractive. Not that I’m a fashion maven or anything, but headlamps are pretty dorky, you know?

Ah, but then there’s this. A Darth Vader LEGO minifig that has lights in the bottoms of each of his feet, which can be positioned in two different directions. Who cares that a headlamp makes you look silly when it’s Darth Vader mounted on your forehead? And the double bonus here is that he’s black (of course, duh), and I am required to wear all black when I am working. See? It’s a match made in some kind of warped geek heaven!

Oh yeah…he’s actually a clip-on minifig that just happens to be able to mount handily on the included headband. But you can clip him to just about anything you want if you’d rather not wear him around like some sort of bizarre hood ornament for your face. He’s recommended for ages three and up, and batteries are included.
