MSI Announces the Wind to Blow Away the Asus Eee PC

Last week, MSI Computer introduced their new Wind Notebook at the Intel Developers Forum in Shanghai. Aimed squarely at ASUS’ wildly popular Eee PC, the Wind builds on the Eee PC’s inherent limitations by including an 8.9 inch or 10 inch screen that displays a web friendly 1024 x 600 resolution. It also features the familiarity of the Windows XP OS and a keyboard that gives you a more comfortable 17.5mm key spacing over the standard Eee PC. For storage, the Wind also packs in a standard 80 GB hard drive, giving you plenty of room to store whatever you need to store. Price and ETA have not been officially announced, but we expect the pricing to be similar to Asus’ new 900 series Eee PC’s.
