I forgot it’s Friday and went to the grocery store this afternoon. In a thunderstorm. Amazingly enough, everything I had on my list was actually on the shelf, and for once no one ran into me with a cart or stood in the way talking on their cell phone while I tried to get at the chocolate milk. The disadvantage is that apparently everyone in the city was there, as I had to park about a five-minute walk from the door. Luckily, they bag in plastic rather than paper, and nothing I bought came in a cardboard box.
