This one doesn’t involve gadgets, sorry. Today I decided I was going to make tuna-noodle casserole. You know, the comfort food mom always made when we were kids because it was easy and cheap. Since it’s been raining for three days, I wanted some. Do you have any idea how hard it is to find a recipe that sounds even remotely like the one mom used to make? I had a million ingredients on the counter (thinking to myself, a woman with four kids used to make this because it’s EASY?) when she walks into the kitchen and basically points and laughs at me. Turns out what she made was egg noodles, a can of tuna, a can of peas, a can of cream of mushroom soup, and some salt and pepper. I apparently was getting ready to make some gourmet concoction that wouldn’t have been what I wanted. Live and learn!
