Now, I’ll be the first to admit this is not only presumptuous, but pretty obnoxious to carry for its intended purpose. However, for someone like me who spends a fair amount of time going to other people’s houses to make them dinner, it would be indispensable. What I usually end up doing is something fairly similar, where I put the different herbs and spices I need for whatever I’m making in small resealable containers (or, in a pinch, snack-size zip-top bags). But this would make that whole process so much easier. And it comes pre-loaded with some of the more common herbs and spices you might want.
This tower of tiny pots is made of tin and plastic, and measures 5 3/8″ x 6 5/8″ x 7/8″. Each pot holds about 1 1/2 tablespoons. It comes with Sea Salt, Black Pepper, Cayenne, Onion, Basil, Conventional Wasabi, Cinnamon, Oregano, Garlic, Thyme, Curry, Ginger and Dill. The containers are unlabeled (a separate key is included) so you can refill it with whatever your heart desires. Like I said, the way this is being marketed is fairly obnoxious. But if you cook while you’re traveling, this is definitely something to add to your repertoire. At just $26.00 US, it’s even affordable.
