Minecraft is the little game that could. Not too long ago on Xbox Live Arcade, Trials Evolution broke the record for the highest grossing day-one sales. The racing platformer didn't hold the record for long though, as Minecraft, released just this Wednesday, has broken all previous XBLA digital sales records. Whether or not you're a fan of the game - I myself have sunk hours into it - it's always heartwarming to see an independent project enjoy such immense success.

So just how well is Minecraft doing? In the two days since the game's release, over 400,000 people have appeared on the game's leaderboard. It's no secret that Minecraft was highly anticipated, but 400k is a shocking number for any XBLA launch. Notch better start crafting a mine to hide all of his money in.
