Turns out, it was from Mimoco! That was even better than receiving the package I had been expecting, really! I squealed like a little girl and immediately went for a knife to open the box. Inside I found a Slave Leia and Jedi Luke 16GB flash drive, as well as a hoodie for each one. Definitely way better than what I had been expecting!
If you’ve been one of our readers for any length of time, you know all about me and flash drives, right? I love them. I go out of my way to find some of the goofiest examples of them I can find. My personal collection before this is not as large as it would be if I had unlimited disposable income, but I do have several. When I was a kid, I collected Pez dispensers, and few years ago I realized flash drives are the Pez dispensers of the new millennium. I am constantly amazed by the wide variety available.
A little bit about these: They come from Episode VI: Return of the Jedi, and are officially licensed by Lucasfilm. Each one comes preloaded with mimoByte sound software, wallpapers, and icons. And yes, I am currently using one of the wallpapers on my laptop…I had to. They are in Series 8 of Mimobots, and there are plenty of characters to choose from. Available are: Jabba the Hutt, Admiral Ackbar, R2-D2, Boba Fett, Bossk, C-3PO, Clone Captain Rex, Darth Maul, Darth Vader Unmasked, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Yoda, Wicket, Stormtrooper…shoot, there are so many I’m not even going to bother listing them all, because you’re sure to be able to find your favourite.
If you want one or more of these, they are available in 8GB to 64B, and pricing starts at $19.99 US.
Thank you again, Mimoco, for totally making my day, and quite possibly my whole week!
