For some time now, the rumor has been that Microsoft is taking its Surface concept and developing a smartphone along the lines of their popular tablet/laptop hybrid. An image has popped up on Chinese forum Baidu and if it’s the real deal, Microsoft has something crazy coming down the pipe. In the same way that a tablet is just a larger smartphone, Microsoft’s Surface phone is literally just a smaller version of the Surface. It even comes with a keyboard stand that props the device up like a tiny laptop. Apparently the user who leaked the photo has been reliable in the past, otherwise I wouldn’t even give this thing a second glance. He or she didn’t stop at the picture, either, reporting that the phone will offer a 5.7-inch QHD display, 20-megapixel rear-facing camera with Carl Zeiss optics, and Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 830 processor.
