Nexus-4

The Internet is a wretched hive of scum and villainy and rumors. A recent rumor surfaced about South Korean electronics manufacturer LG, claiming that they were halting production on the Nexus 4 in order to work on a revamped version of the phone as well as their own new smartphones. Survey says: false.

By survey I mean an LG official, who recently told a Korean website that the rumor is blatantly untrue and that production on the Nexus 4 is running smoothly. This contradicts Google’s recent claims that they’ve been having trouble with shipments from LG. Hopefully they’ve simply got a few wires crossed and production is indeed going well.

In the same interview, the LG official also revealed that the company will not be releasing the Nexus 5 at this year’s Google I/O event. While that’s sure to displeasure those with insatiable hunger for new gadgets, I’m sure those consumers just getting their hands on the Nexus 4 will be happy to hear that they aren’t out of the loop just yet.
