Kingston Data Traveler USB Drive Hits 64 Gigs

Is that sixty-four gigs in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?

Joining the push toward shoehorning as much memory as possible into the smallest package imaginable are the good folks at Kingston, the memory expert that just announced the availability of the Kingston DataTraveler 150. The USB flash drive itself isn’t exactly new, but what is new is that the drive is now available with a whopping 64GB of storage under the hood.

Some people may argue that there really is no reason to carry that much memory in a single USB flash drives, but the same thing was said about 100MB ZIP drives back in the day. I think you’d agree that 100MB doesn’t really cut it for anything anymore.

Be prepared to pay handsomely for this much portable memory, however, as the 64GB Kingston DataTraveler 150 retails for $177. Ouch. The 32GB model is only a slightly more affordable option at $116.
