Seems like I’ve done this quite a bit lately, but I took today to pamper myself. Got my hair trimmed and coloured, soaked in the tub, and cooked a truly decadent dinner. Now I’m heading out to watch hockey with some friends who understand that conversation during the game is only acceptable if it doesn’t require removing my eyes from the TV screen. They’re also not offended if in the middle of a sentence I yell at the TV…I never used to get that until I started really getting into sports, but now I see the absolute logic in yelling at someone who is several hundred miles away from me and cannot conceivably hear what I’m saying to them. Sometimes you simply have to let them know they did something outstanding, good or bad.
