iPhone 5 Getting Centered FaceTime Camera and 4-Inch Screen Michael Kwan July 16, 2012 We’re getting that much closer to the unveiling of the new iPhone and all the details are starting to coalesce. We’d heard rumors for ages that the so-called iPhone 5 would be getting a bigger screen and here is further evidence to back up that claim. This leaked photo of the new iPhone’s front panel shows off what appears to be the elongated 4-inch screen that everyone has been talking about. The iPhone 5 is going to be taller, featuring more of a 16:9 aspect ratio rather than the current 3:2 aspect ratio. The leaked parts, which came by way of Apple.pro, also show the same round home button and the availability of black or white versions. Another thing that you might notice is that the front-facing camera for FaceTime has now been shifted to the middle, just about the earpiece. This presumably allows for more centered chatting, since the FaceTime camera is currently offset to the left. We’re expecting to see Tim Cook announce the new iPhone in the next couple of months.
