It turns out it WAS my mother’s computer and not my ineptitude with the router! When my sister gave it to her she did not delete the four family accounts, so I thought I was signed in as an admin and I was not. It’s the little things that make you tear your hair out, isn’t it? Although it occurs to me that it was partially my ineptitude, but not my fault. She’s the one who left it signed in under her user account and didn’t tell me there were others.
