How To Keep Cool In The Heat Of Battle
After the “smart fabric“ designed to monitors soldiers’ physiological response in combat, here is a brand new hi-tech vest that will prevent any kind of heat-induced discomfort. Mark Newton, a physiologist at the University of Portsmouth, UK, where the vest is being developed, has declared that, “ the cooling power generated by these garments will make a difference for soldiers operating in extreme climates such as those experienced in Iraq.” As these vests are planned to be used within two years by troops deployed in Iraq, does this also mean that there no foreseen end to this conflict in the near future?
