My house has the old-fashioned windows with storms/screens that hook to the outside. Which twice a year necessitates climbing a ladder and changing them over…a total PITA. So I thought I’d price replacement windows, thinking maybe my three sisters and I could chip in and buy them for our mother. OHMYGOD!!! For the few windows in my one-story, three-bedroom house, you could easily buy a new house entirely! Luckily, one of my sisters and I hatched a plan for getting the job done, because I was at a loss with me on crutches and my mother being 74 years old.
