As we move forward, there is a driving need to combine the functions of two devices into one. As cell phones have gained processing power, they have absorbed the functions of GPS units, personal calculators, and are now looking to swallow the functions of small laptops. During this time period, there have been some device combinations that make me scratch my head. The HS-G700V Cavimanus headset is one of those devices.
Let's start with the good. The HS-G700V is a 7.1 channel virtual surround sound headset with 32 ohm impedance, 20 Hz to 20 KHz response range, 2.5 meter cable, uni-directional microphone, and a very stylish look. The headset features a dedicated volume control on the cans and you can automatically disable the microphone when it's in the upright position.
Now let's look at the weird. The Genius HS-G700V Cavimanus headset also features a complimentary vibration function. Yes, you read that correctly. These headphones will vibrate along with what music you happen to be listening to. This is a unique feature to my knowledge and I can't for the life of me figure out why I would want my headphones to vibrate while in use. This feature can be turned off with a button if, like myself, you would want to just enjoy the headphones themselves.
