Garage Archaeology
You could easily substitute “closet” or “drawer” or “spare room” for “garage”, but you all know what I’m talking about…that place where you put stuff and don’t think about it again for years, but you keep adding to it. Then one day you decide to clean it out because you’re bored, and it’s absolutely amazing how many things you find that you’d forgotten about. And since it’s in layers…archaeology! I found approximately five years worth of shirts from shows I’ve done in a box in my garage this afternoon, so it was kind of a fun trip down memory lane. Some of them I’d forgotten, some of them I’d purposely blocked out, but it was kind of neat seeing the places I’ve been and in some cases how very, very many times.
