Are you not convinced that you want to pick up a new Microsoft Surface tablet when they launch later this week? Microsoft is sweetening the pie for early adopters willing to wake up bright and early on Friday morning to wait in line outside official Microsoft Stores by offering a free $100 bonus.

If you are one of the first 100 people in line at any Microsoft Store on October 26, you will receive a free one-year subscription to the new Xbox Music service. Of course, they’re not just going to hand out this musical candy to just anyone; you will need to buy a Surface tablet that same day in order to qualify. Pre-orders of the Surface RT tablet have already sold out, but sadly these uber early adopters are not being offered the same $99 credit toward the Xbox Music service. I guess they want that visual image of people standing in line outside Microsoft Stores to counter the ubiquitous images of people waiting in line outside Apple Stores.

The bonus is being offered at all the existing Microsoft Stores, as well as the 30 pop-up holiday kiosks. Is a year of music enough of an incentive to make you drop a few hundred dollars on a newly minted tablet? Or are you more likely to wait for the iPad Mini?
