Don't say Microsoft never did anything for you. In an effort to further get the Surface RT tablet out there and help students with their education, Microsoft is offering a ridiculously steep discount on the tablets to schools and universities. The discount is only available for two months, from June 24 to Aug 31, but that's plenty of time to load up.

The Surface RT without a keyboard has been knocked down from $499 to $199, the model with the touch keyboard has gone from $599 to $249, and the model with the type keyboard has gone from $629 to $289.

The discount is available from grades K - 12 in multiple countries, including the U.S., U.K., and Canada. The order form for the discount seems to have been pulled, but Engadget has pulled up a cached copy of the document associated with the form. No word on when the actual form will be back, but the discount doesn't even start until next Monday.
