We talk a lot about product lineups and series. Computer component companies do not create one version of any product because it is not a "one size fits all" market. The award-winning AX 1200i digital ATX PSU will now have some company with the new digital Corsair AX 860i, AX 760i, analog AX 860 and AX 760 models.
First we have the derivatives of the AX 1200i with the AX 860i and AX760i. Both units have all the features from the flagship PSU like the all digital design, zero RPM fan up until 30% load, 80 PLUS Platinum rating with up to 92% efficiency, and support for Corsair Link technology. These are the units for those who want the absolute best, but do not need 1200 watts of power.
The analog versions are not as great, but by no means average.
Both the AX 860 and AX 760 share a lot of features such as zero RPM fan (up until 60% load), 80 PLUS Platinum rating up to 90% efficiency, and the great 7 year warranty. The only feature you lose here is the Corsair Links support. Both are also competitively priced $30 USD less than their digital counterparts.
You just can't go wrong with a Corsair AX Series PSU. While they are a bit pricey at $199.99 to $249.99 USB MSRP, but cutting edge technology is worth it.
