Corsair continues their methodical expansion process by adding to their product line one item at a time. This gives them plenty of time to research, test, and refine each new product to be the best they can offer. This time we get a new addition to the Corsair Carbide Series in the form of the 200R.
Corsair wants to offer a PC case in each pricing market by starting in the middle and then expanding their PC case lineup in both directions. The Carbide 200R will be priced at $59 MSRP taking its place as the new entry-level option from Corsair.
This mid-tower case features tool-free support for four 3.5" drives and four 2.5", three 5.25" bays, USB 3.0, cable management, and it's designed to support full-sized graphics cards. While the 200R comes with two 120 mm fans, it can support up to eight total 120/140 mm fans in the standard locations. The Carbide 200R includes all the user-friendly features you find in more expensive Corsair cases in a more affordable package.
The Carbide 200R has a simple, clean style that anyone could see sitting at their desk. It is walking a tight rope between a feature rich gaming chassis and a work environment understated appeal. The Carbide 200R is a great package with a 2 year warranty to protect your investment. This is perfect way for Corsair to say, "This is a less expensive case, but not our cheapest."
