This is Chevy's take on the affordable electric car and it's designed to give you 200 miles of travel per charge, which isn't quite as far as you'd get with one of Tesla's new all-wheel drive models, but it's also significantly cheaper at $30,000. Compare that to Tesla's upcoming model, which will debut at around $75,000.
The Bolt EV won't even be on the market until 2016 at the earliest, but it sounds like they just couldn't wait to show it off, with General Motors CEO Mary Barra insisting that it's a "game-changer." That remains to be seen, of course, but I'm all for more electric transportation.
