CES 2013 MSI Announces S20 Ultrabook Convertible MSI Slider S20 575px 500x280

I’m usually averse to lengthy, unnecessary hardware names, but the Slider S20 Ultrabook Convertible does have a certain ring to it. It’s the latest Ultrabook from MSI Computer Corp and performs a balancing act between performance and portability with an Intel Core i5 processor and a slide-out keyboard.

Among its hardware lies 8GB of DDR3 memory, 128GB of SSD storage, and a 16:9 1920×1080 full HD ten-point touch screen. The Slider S20 weighs 2.2 lbs and is less than an inch thick. On the connectivity side, the S20 also boasts a Jackson Peak Wireless adapter, Ethernet 2, USB 3 ports, Bluetooth capability, mini HDMI-out connector, and a 720HP HD webcam.

According to Andy Tung, vice president of sales for MSI US, the goal with the Slider S20 was to give consumers the mobility of a tablet and the processing power of a laptop. The Slider S20 Ultrabook Convertible will be available in Q1 2013 for $1,199.99.
