CES 2012 – ASUS Shows Off PadFone, Transformer Prime 700 Series, and New 7-Inch MeMo Tablets Michael Kwan January 21, 2012 MEGATech Videos Asus has been keeping pretty busy on the mobile front, so we decided to check in with Gary Key and the rest of the Asus team at CES 2012. You might remember the Asus PadFone that was originally unveiled at Computex 2011 last year. It’s still not quite ready for market, but Asus has made some advancements and they’ll be ready with the final model at MWC in Barcelona next month. We look forward to that! It’s pretty clear that the original Eee Pad Transformer was one of my favorite Android tablets. They recently followed it up with the Transformer Prime, which has once again been updated to the Transformer Prime 700 series. It’s got a better 1920×1080 high resolution display, as well as a design that should improve your wireless performance. While we were hoping for a true seven-inch Eee Pad tablet, what we got instead were a couple of different Asus MeMo tablets. They’re like Eee Pads, only smaller. Specs are still being finalized.
