Missing My Meeting

At least I had the forethought to send an email that I wouldn’t be attending this one, since I have no car and a cab is astronomically expensive from where I live. Still, this is a pretty big one and I wish I was there. Hopefully someone will take good minutes for me and let me know what happened. In the mean time, I’m looking at the still-dirty half of my living room walls and debating if it’s worth it. It’s already pretty darn hot and sticky and it’s pretty early in the morning.

On the Road One More Time

After not having worked for a week, I am now headed out to a job approximately 85 miles southwest of here. I think it’s the only work I get this week as well, so I had to take it. Luckily, they understand how far we all have to drive and they compensate us accordingly. I suppose I should get this post done and then get moving or I’ll be late…and being late means being replaced in my world. It’d pretty much suck a lot to drive all that way for nothing. Have a great Sunday!

Surprise Saturday

Think of anything unexpected that you can, and it’s happened today. I woke up early, my roommate was making breakfast, the mail came early, it’s hardly snowing at all, and when I looked out the window there were three deer and six turkeys in my backyard. For some of you that might not be amazing, and 30 years ago it wouldn’t have been here, but since then the city has grown around my little tiny boondocks town so I now live in the suburbs. It’s been quite some time since we’ve seen wildlife other than squirrels and rabbits. Neat day!

Frigid Friday

Can you tell I’m having a hard time coming up with titles again? The amazing thing for me is that I used to want to be a writer…I have a trunk full of poetry, short stories and longer novellas (never quite made it to a whole novel without giving up). Now that I’m older I’m having a hard time coming up with something to call two news posts a day. It’s really pretty pathetic now that I think about it, and a good thing I decided to leave creative writing as a hobby instead of trying to make a living at it.

Saturday is for Snoozing

I don’t know what it is today, but I simply cannot stay awake for longer than an hour at a time. I’ve had enough coffee to float an armada, but my eyes keep dropping closed when I stop moving for any length of time. I’m hoping there’s something in the reviews that’ll perk me up, otherwise I’m going to have to take a nap. Hope you’re having a great weekend!
