It’s Monday Again

Maybe, just maybe, today will be the day the agent from the total loss department of my insurance company will call me and let me know how much they’re going to give me for my car. Maybe. A girl can dream, right? Have a great day!

Online Car Shopping

Have you ever done this? I hadn’t, but I’ve spent a fair portion of today trying to, since the insurance company decided it wasn’t worth fixing my car and totaled it. So…how do you know the car you get is the one they picture? I refuse to either take the bus clear across town or beg a ride from someone only to find out the car I wanted to see doesn’t actually exist, and all they have for me is an elderly Gremlin or Fiesta. It’s an adventure.

Partial Mission Accomplished

When I set out to wash walls today, I neglected to realize it was going to be over 90F with about 85% humidity. I got half the living room done and called it good until the weather breaks. Not that we need more rain as everything is still flooded from the last storm, but I almost want the “possible” thunderstorm so I can go sit in the yard and let the rain wash over me. It is almost unbearably hot, and me without an air conditioner.

Feisty on Friday

The light at the end of the tunnel might just be NOT a train! With a combination of allergy pills and cold medicine I am almost human. And, I’ve discovered that Facebook has a version of Bejeweled. I am so in trouble…like I don’t spend enough time online as it is, now they’ve combined two things I’m already darn near addicted to. I should have stayed safely in my tech site world…

Just Can’t Seem To Shake It

I am still sick, for pity’s sake! For someone who never gets sick, this is something of a record. Granted, it’s not as bad as it was, but I still haven’t left the house longer than to run out for more drugs and one short trip to the library since I was reduced to reading old copies of magazines lying around the house. This is getting ridiculous. Yeah, I know…go to the doctor. But all he’ll tell me is I have a cold. I am aware of that. Bah.
