Kingston Technology raises the bar and launches their certified 2400MHz kit. Although kits like Patriot Memory’s Sector 5 have come close at 2250mhz, it’s the first time that you’ll find a kit tested and validated right off the shelf by INTEL themselves. That means they’ll run rock solid at that speed as long as you have a board that supports it because that’s basically overclocked anyway as most boards run stock in the 1333 – 1600MHz range. The full press release is posted below and you’ll find the rest of it after the jump…

Fountain Valley, CA — March 15, 2010 — Kingston Technology Company, Inc., the independent world leader in memory products, today announced it has developed the fastest Intel-certified memory in the world. Running at 2400MHz, Kingston’s HyperX® dual-channel DDR3 memory kit (Kingston® part#: KHX2400C9D3T1K2/4GX) gained Intel® XMP certification on the Core i7™ platform. Intel’s certification is posted here.

MEGATech Previews Patriot Memory Sector 5 2250MHz DDR3 Memory Kit Benchmarks Patriot Memory 2250MHz DDR3 Memory 2

While it seems just like last year we were drooling over DDR2 memory kits, we’re well in to the latest standard of DDR3 memory. In the world of computer memory, it’s all about frequencies and timings if you want the most from your computer. And, with Intel’s latest Core i3, i5, and i7 Processors wielding an integrated memory controller, we’ve never, ever, had it this good.

About three weeks ago, Patriot Memory announced their newest Sector 5 2250MHz DDR3 Memory Kits for the Intel Core i5/i7 Processors that utilize Dual Channel memory. That means it’s currently designed for motherboards with the Intel P55/P55A Chipsets. This 2×2GB Dual Channel DDR3 kit only needs a cool 1.65 volts to maintain its insanely fast stock 2250MHz frequency along with 9-9-9-27 memory timings. Here’s a quick preview of what these modules can do for you!

Patriot Memory Sector 5 Dual Channel DDR3 Exists!

Remember the secret government office Sector 7 in Transformers? If not, it’s probably because you got Megan Fox on the brain hovering over the engine bay of a Camaro. Well, we can confirm that Sector 7 is indeed a figment of someone’s imagination. However, we have confirmed that Sector 5 is real!

Patriot Memory Sector 5 Dual Channel DDR3 Exists! Sector5

Futurelooks recently brought you some news from the forefront about Intel and GIGABYTE preparing for the upcoming Lynnfield and P55 motherboard launch. Since the new platform returns to using very capable Dual Channel memory, many a memory vendor have also been preparing to launch Lynnfield compatible DDR3 memory modules. This includes the good people at Patriot Memory who are said to be on schedule for the Sept 8th launch with their new Sector 5 series which plays off the Core i5 moniker.

Sector 5 isn’t a memory kit that transforms into anything itself, but it is designed to transform your P55 system in to a new machine. With the new series boasting 2000 MHz stock frequencies, we can expect excellent memory bandwidth as well as better overclocking. The Sector 5 2000 MHz DDR3 Dual Channel Memory (pictured above) sports some low 8-8-8-24 memory timings requiring only 1.65 Volts to power available 2GB and 4GB kits. Though the actual existence of these modules was known since the middle of the month, these specs weren’t available until now.

The news doesn’t stop there. An industry official, speaking on the condition of anonymity, said that memory frequencies of 2133 MHz are easily within reach with advanced research topping 2400 MHz. Could this all be a prelude of things to come? We believe so. Stay tuned as we work to track down some live photos and footage.
