Celebrity Deaths

What is the deal lately!?! I mean, I realize people pass away all the time, but we’re having a epidemic! Some expected, some not expected but also not unreasonable, and some just flat shocking. I’m not normally one to follow all the celebrity gossip (my own life is enough of a soap opera, I don’t need to borrow theirs), but lately it’s very hard not to. Hopefully we’re done with this for a while.

It’s Monday Again

Maybe, just maybe, today will be the day the agent from the total loss department of my insurance company will call me and let me know how much they’re going to give me for my car. Maybe. A girl can dream, right? Have a great day!

Finally Cooling Off!

Relatively, anyway. It’s only supposed to get to 79F today, and the humidity is supposed to stay under 70%, so it’s going to be a good day! I may actually wash the rest of my walls, and even quite possibly make something for dinner that requires cooking! We’ve been living on salads and microwaveable stuff for a few days because it’s still too hot at night to do the Southern trick and cook meals after sundown to eat cold later.

Online Car Shopping

Have you ever done this? I hadn’t, but I’ve spent a fair portion of today trying to, since the insurance company decided it wasn’t worth fixing my car and totaled it. So…how do you know the car you get is the one they picture? I refuse to either take the bus clear across town or beg a ride from someone only to find out the car I wanted to see doesn’t actually exist, and all they have for me is an elderly Gremlin or Fiesta. It’s an adventure.
