It’s Monday Again

Maybe, just maybe, today will be the day the agent from the total loss department of my insurance company will call me and let me know how much they’re going to give me for my car. Maybe. A girl can dream, right? Have a great day!

Just Can’t Seem To Shake It

I am still sick, for pity’s sake! For someone who never gets sick, this is something of a record. Granted, it’s not as bad as it was, but I still haven’t left the house longer than to run out for more drugs and one short trip to the library since I was reduced to reading old copies of magazines lying around the house. This is getting ridiculous. Yeah, I know…go to the doctor. But all he’ll tell me is I have a cold. I am aware of that. Bah.

Game Four

Of course we still need to win this one, but since we’re now not going to sweep the series it’s not as big a deal. In fact, on a purely selfish level, I almost (not quite, but almost) don’t care if we win or not. I have to work Saturday night, so I’m going to miss the majority of Game 5. I’d hate to go into it knowing it could determine who gets the Cup and I won’t see it. Not that I won’t take a win and be ecstatic about it, I’m just being a trifle selfish. As long as there’s no overtime…I’ve got an early meeting tomorrow.

How Can One Person Accumulate So Much Laundry?

I swear, I have more clothes than any ten people should! I just sorted out laundry to be done, and it comes to five loads! It’s only been two weeks since I did it last, but I’m inundated with stuff. Maybe if I wasn’t so picky about separating things, but still…work clothes (all black) come to three loads alone and it’s not even our busy season! I guess I should go back to once a week so it doesn’t scare me next time.

Where’s the Warmth?

You’re probably sick of hearing me whine about the weather (shoot, I’m sick of having to do it), but seriously…it’s mid-April! Where the heck is the warm weather and sunshine? I can’t remember the last time I didn’t have to sit here with at least three layers of clothes and a blanket, and my office is the warmest room in the house! I know how wrong it is to root for global warming, but at this point I really think I would like some.
