It Came From CES 2010 Psyko Audio Labs Gives Xbox 360 Fans True 5.1 Headphone Sound ces2010 psykoaudio 1 500x277

Last year at CES 2009, the Futurelooks Crew came across a company that hailed from Calgary, Alberta claiming to have a true 5.1 surround sound solution for headphone gamers. In fact, the product ended up being so impressive that these guys never had a chance to send us one to review because they just couldn’t keep up with demand. One year later, Psyko Audio Labs is still slinging out their wildly popular 5.1 headsets for PC and Mac, but console gamers will soon get to play with these excellent gaming cans.

CES 2010 – NYKO Gives Us The Wand+ Controller for the Wii

CES 2010 NYKO Gives Us The Wand+ Controller for the Wii nykowandplus 1 500x375

While over at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, we had the opportunity to meet up with the good people at Nyko, makers of all sorts of video game accessories for the Nintendo Wii, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3. One of the biggest highlights in the suite had to be the new Nyko Wand+.

As you may recall, the original Nyko Wand was meant to be a direct replacement for the official Nintendo Wii Remote. As a third-party controller, it offers the same functionality as its first-party counterpart, but it also comes with some extra stuff too. For instance, it has Trans-Port technology that allows for the relocation of key buttons and vibration to specially designed accessories.

Celebrity Deaths

What is the deal lately!?! I mean, I realize people pass away all the time, but we’re having a epidemic! Some expected, some not expected but also not unreasonable, and some just flat shocking. I’m not normally one to follow all the celebrity gossip (my own life is enough of a soap opera, I don’t need to borrow theirs), but lately it’s very hard not to. Hopefully we’re done with this for a while.

Finally Cooling Off!

Relatively, anyway. It’s only supposed to get to 79F today, and the humidity is supposed to stay under 70%, so it’s going to be a good day! I may actually wash the rest of my walls, and even quite possibly make something for dinner that requires cooking! We’ve been living on salads and microwaveable stuff for a few days because it’s still too hot at night to do the Southern trick and cook meals after sundown to eat cold later.

Recuperating on Sunday

It’s been an awfully long time since I babysat, particularly for a child under the age of two. I think I’m more tired than if I’d worked all day! Which means after this post I’m probably heading back to bed for a nap to see if I can’t feel more human when I get up again.
