I Think It’s Thursday

Not only did my news posting schedule get all turned around, my sleep schedule has completely gone out the window. I accidentally napped for a while yesterday afternoon, so I’ve been up all night. There’s day outside my window again, though, so I think that means it’s Thursday morning. With any luck at all I’ll be able to stay awake for long enough that I can go to bed at a reasonable time tonight. I’ve made sure there’s plenty of coffee in the house just in case I can’t do it on my own.

Game Four

Of course we still need to win this one, but since we’re now not going to sweep the series it’s not as big a deal. In fact, on a purely selfish level, I almost (not quite, but almost) don’t care if we win or not. I have to work Saturday night, so I’m going to miss the majority of Game 5. I’d hate to go into it knowing it could determine who gets the Cup and I won’t see it. Not that I won’t take a win and be ecstatic about it, I’m just being a trifle selfish. As long as there’s no overtime…I’ve got an early meeting tomorrow.

What a pleasant surprise when I got up this morning…a huge package of new CDs from one of my new favourite bands! I’ve been rocking the house for the last hour or so and now I’m in a fabulous mood. I love days that start like this.

Found More Gadgets!

Today I decided I’d been on the couch too long, and for some reason got it in my head to rearrange my kitchen cupboards. I found so many things I knew I owned but forgot where I put them it’s scary! My mortar and pestle (pretty low-tech, I’ll admit), my cordless rechargeable can opener (worth its weight in gold…you don’t even have to hold it, just attach it to the can and it zips around all on its own), my spice grinder, and my stick blender. Too bad I’m not going to have time to cook all week, because now I can make darn near anything!
