The Great Pyramid Of Giza Was Built From The Inside Out

Both historians and architects had been wondering for many years how the Great Pyramid of Kheops – last remaining of the Seven Wonders of the World – had been constructed at an age where wheels, pulleys and iron tools were virtually unheard of. French architect Jean-Pierre Houdin had a hypothesis that Dassault Systèmes’ real-time 3D software allowed to test thoroughly. The computer simulation confirmed that the pyramid was indeed built from the inside, although further verification remains to be done on-site.

Dassault Systèmes’ real-time 3D solutions enabled Jean-Pierre Houdin to model and explore the pyramid in 3D and run simulations confirming his theory that the pyramid was built from the inside!

Robotic Parking Garage Opens in New York

Remember those movies where the valet takes the rich corporate moguls high end sports car and drives it around town while he’s at dinner? Well, the days of the misbehaving valet are numbered. New York is announcing the first of many robotic parking garages. The initial rollout will happen in Chinatown this February.

Robot wants to park your car!

The technology is well proven overseas but has had some issues with technical glitches domestically. The only other automated garage in the US had some trouble in the form of dropping and trapping cars. Yikes! In spite of this, the developers are hopeful that they will be able to squeeze 67 cars in an apartment building basement that would normally only hold 24. That’s a huge space savings in already crowded NYC.
