It’s been a busy week since returning from PAX East 2011 in Boston. After getting settled and getting some urgent projects out of the way, I went back over some of my video footage, which included an interview with Calibur 11; an innovative company that is launching a very creative new line of enclosures for the Xbox 360 Slim. What makes the vault unique is that it’s simply a console enclosure that assembles around the console without having to take anything apart. It transforms your Xbox 360 Slim in to a new console with better air flow and a place to put your headset or game pad. And, it does it without voiding your warranty. Have a look.
Are there other themes and mods coming down the pipe? The answer was possibly. However, it stands to reason that it’s more of a confirmation than a possibility. There are already efforts under way for new concepts over the next year. Maybe, we’ll see a basic or customized vault that adds another place holder so we can store both our headset and game pad at the same time.
If computer cases can be modded, why not console enclosures?
