When BlackBerry announced the Q10, the second of the BB10 debut devices, they said that the phone would begin shipping April 2013. True to their word, the phone will begin shipping in April, but likely won't hit the U.S. until May or June, more specifically eight to ten weeks after the release of the Z10.

The Z10 is also being released in America after the phone sees a release in a few other countries, so it only makes sense that the Q10 would follow the same release pattern. BlackBerry CEO Thorsten Heins attributed this delay to the extensive carrier testing that the phone has to go through in order to be approved for AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and Sprint.

While the Z10 sports a large touchscreen, the Q10 is equipped with a physical keyboard at the expense of a smaller screen, making it something of a dying breed. I'm very curious to see how it does with consumers.
