I both love and hate this one! It’s especially appropriate today, though, as I am working in my office. In addition to being a hiring hall, we also run a payroll company. Consequently, easily 85% of the calls I answer are someone wanting to know if a particular show has paid or not. And my answer is always, “Did you get a check in the mail?” Of course they say they didn’t. Whereupon I tell them that it must not have paid yet. It’s not rocket science, people!
