The Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9 LTE is scheduled to hit AT&T stores on April 5th, this Friday, so those wary about buying expensive electronics online can now walk into a brick and mortar and purchase the 32GB version of the tablet from a living, breathing human being.

You don’t have to be an AT&T subscriber to purchase the Kindle Fire, as the non-contract version is available for $399. For those who don’t mind being under contract, a two-year plan will allows you to pick up the tablet for $249, a significant price drop.

AT&T offers a variety of options for using the tablet with their mobile Internet service, and the Kindle Fire HD 4G LTE is the first Kindle Fire to run on AT&T’s 4G LTE network.
