Acer is set to show off its first Windows 8 collection at Computex in Taipei this week. Among the collection is the 1080p Aspire S7 aluminum ultrabook, which comes in two sizes - 13.3 and 11.6 inches. The battery life on is said to be 12 and 9 hours, but other details are scarce. Surprisingly, Acer is adding a glossy layer of glass to the exterior of the lid on the 13.3-inch machine to achieve that sleek look. Let's see how sleek it looks after you accidentally bust that glass.

The 11.6-inch model measures 12mm thick and Acer says it's the "world's smallest form factor ultrabook with touch." Both models open up to a flat 180 degrees. The S7 will be cost you $999 and $1799, depending on the model.
