A Sensitive Drill For Precision Surgery
A new drill has been invented for delicate surgeries like ear implant installation. The device is able to “sense” its surroundings and adapt its boring force to the surrounding tissue, be it hard bone or thin membranes. This is yet another human-supervised semi-automated device that will make a surgeon’s work easier and more accurate, while increasing the chances of success during difficult surgical procedures.
