Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day

Probably even worse than Alexander’s was. If you have no idea what I’m talking about, you must either not have kids, or don’t know any small ones. I won’t go into mine…let it suffice to say after I finish this post I’m being taken out for a few adult beverages because I need them.

International Computer Security Day

I don’t know who makes some of these “holidays” up, but some of them are worthwhile. Since it’s a thing, why not take a few minutes to make sure your security programs are up-to-date, and run them all? I’m sure most of you make a habit of doing so on a regular schedule, but there are probably those (myself included at times) that need a gentle reminder.

Mystery Solved!

Sometimes it’s the simplest solutions that are the hardest to find. My mother has been complaining for two days that she can’t sign in to Hotmail, and keeps blaming my security settings. I went through everything I could think of, then finally dusted off my brain and logged in as me. Turns out the new improved version does not work with Firefox, only IE. Go figure, huh?

Dollar Store Batteries

A couple of weeks ago I was at the dollar store, and saw that they carry batteries…well, cool! I go through a lot of AA and AAA for various things, how excellent that I can buy an 8-pack of them for a dollar! Well…sort of. Just a minute ago, I replaced the third one in my wireless mouse, which used to go through a battery every 3-4 weeks. So they’re cheaper, but you use more of them. I’m sure there’s some mathematical formula I could work out to figure out if I’m actually saving money, but I suck at math.

I Guess I Missed It

I’ve been thinking for a couple of days that I was coming up on my one-year anniversary of posting reviews, so just now I finally took the time to look back and find out when I started. Turns out I missed it by exactly two months, as it was 27 September last year. This is how my life works most of the time. Oh well. On a happier note, I’m finally getting out of the house again tonight. I don’t know what I’m doing or who I’ll be doing it with just yet, but I have options.
