Wow! $200 Bucks…and an iPod Shuffle Too!

This is a VERY expensive way to wrap a present…

Origami $200 Shuffle

Now, I wonder if anyone threw out the wrapping paper? Though personally, I’d ditch the player, and take the money. “Hey! Does anyone want my Shuffle? I’ll trade you for your wrapping paper…”

Microsoft Exec Takes a Shot at Wii. Pokes at PS3.

The gloves are off!

But according to Satchell, it’s still to early to tell whether the Wii will be the winner in the end. “It’s going to start very fast, it’s a cool thing that’s different, but I’m not sure how big it’s going to be in the long term,” he said.

Nintendo Issues Mass Wii Strap Recall

This morning, Nintendo Wii users received an email that informed them of a Wii Strap Replacement program. The skillfully crafted email that leaves out the term “recall” is instructing customers to have their original straps replaced with new thicker ones…

Wii Strap Recall

Nintendo has been quietly replacing straps for customers for a couple weeks now, but this seems to be the first time that Nintendo has notified the public on mass of this replacement. This may have been prompted by the recent class action lawsuit launched against them. Nintendo urges consumers to go to this site for information on how to order a free replacement strap for their controllers.

I guess at a cost of $158 per unit to manufacture the Wii, they can afford to absorb these costs in the interest of public safety. However some would argue it is more to prevent additional public stupidity.
